Jacob Soboroff to Host Primetime Special

Nov. 15, 2023 – NBC News NOW will stream a primetime special, Epidemic of Hate: Antisemitism on the Rise, Thursday, November 16 at 10:30pm ET on the growing antisemitism and incidents of harassment, vandalism and assaults in the U.S. and around the world since the start of the Israel-Hamas war.

Hosted by NBC News correspondent Jacob Soboroff, the special will delve into the fears Jewish Americans are facing as a result of the growing antisemitism in their communities, workplaces and on college campuses with a panel of experts, including Rabbi Jill Jacobs, The New York TimesBret Stephens and Southern Poverty Law Center’s Eric Ward. Soboroff will also moderate a panel with U.S. college students from Barnard College at Columbia University, New York University and Cornell University who have been confronted with antisemitism on campus.

For the special, a group of Holocaust survivors will reflect on their past experiences and how they’re registering the recent rise in hate and violence. Additionally, the program will feature an interview with CEO of the New England Patriots Robert Kraft on his efforts in fighting antisemitism and what else he believes needs to be done.

This is the second in a series of specials on antisemitism hosted by Soboroff for NBC News NOW, following Epidemic of Hate: Antisemitism in America, which aired in December 2022. Click here to watch.
