The National Lottery has partnered with Global, the Media & Entertainment Group – with its flagship game Lotto becoming the first ever sponsor of Heart’s Make Me A Millionaire
The competition, now in its fifth year, sees one lucky listener win a life-changing £1 million live on Heart, the UK’s biggest commercial radio brand. Global has announced its return and Heart presenters will be preparing to crown a new millionaire on Friday 10th May.
As part of the partnership – brokered by media agency Hearts & Science – Lotto from The National Lottery will be integrated into all Heart’s Make Me A Millionaire on-air and social content, and on Global Player. Mark Wright’s 4pm – 7pm Saturday show on Heart will also be sponsored by Lotto, to coincide with the weekend Lotto draw.
Tom Cornell, Chief Investment Officer at Hearts & Science, said: “Becoming the very first sponsor of Heart’s Make Me a Millionaire, is a powerful start in the journey to re-imagining Lotto for Allwyn. The broad reach and excitement of the radio show’s ‘millionaire making moment’ mirrors the sense of anticipation and excitement that Lotto brings to people, making this the perfect platform to highlight the brand to new players as well as those who may have stopped playing along the way.”
Since it began in 2020, Heart’s Make Me a Millionaire has seen hundreds of winners take home prizes ranging from £1,000 to £20,000 over the course of the game. Last year, the nation was gripped as Magaret Coetzer turned down £2,000 to join the Million Pound Final where she scooped the life-changing grand prize of £1,000,000, live on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden.
The Promotion Partner is Allwyn Entertainment Ltd, operator of The National Lottery, and the Prize Provider is Global.
