Drawing inspiration from her love for the simplicity and profound message of the original song, Berry embarked on a journey to reimagine it with a touch of drama and soul. Despite her background in jazz, Berry chose to focus on her original music after college. However, the pandemic-induced hiatus provided her with the perfect opportunity to revisit her roots and craft a jazz record that reflects her artistic vision.
Recorded at Virtue and Vice studios in Brooklyn with a band of seasoned musicians, “I Wish You Love” emanates impeccable vibes that are bound to resonate with listeners. Produced by Dezron Douglas and recorded by Willie Green, the single showcases Berry’s exceptional talent as both a vocalist and arranger.
Born and raised in Westbury, NY, to musician/educator parents, Berry’s musical journey began at a young age. She honed her craft at the Long Island High School for the Arts and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she studied Vocal Jazz Performance. Throughout her career, Berry has shared the stage with esteemed artists such as Tshidi Manye, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and Peter Nero, among others.
