London, Tuesday, 27 February – ITV Studios today announces it is to distribute the major new UK boy band show Made in Korea w/t to the global market and unveils its slate of stand-out non-scripted titles due to be presented to global buyers tomorrow at the ITV Studios Festivals, taking place at the ODEON Luxe Leicester Square – part of the fourth annual London TV Screenings.
From multi-BAFTA award winning producer Nigel Hall (Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor, One Direction), leading talent manager Russ Lindsay (former manager of Ant & Dec and Simon Cowell) and broadcast executive Dawn Airey’s (ITV, C4, C5, Sky) Moon&Back Media and Korea’s SM Entertainment, Made in Korea w/t will air in the UK on the BBC. Currently in production, the show follows a fledgling British boy band as it departs for Korea to attend the ultimate K-Pop boot camp, learning from the experts who have created the world’s biggest K-Pop superstars. Featuring incredible performances, television gold and a band set to entertain the world, will these young artists have what it takes to learn from the best and make the jump from ordinary life to new pop sensations? Made in Korea w/t is also available as a format.
INTERNATIONAL SALES
Narrated by renowned actor Howard Charles (Top Boy, The Musketeers) Predator v Prey, the exciting new wildlife series for National Geographic International, produced by Bristol-based True To Nature, in association with ITV Studios, has sold to BBC America. The series, which follows the fortunes of some of the most iconic Predators, including the Lion, Crocodile and Cheetah launches on Nat Geo Wild in the UK in early April.
Mother Nature 2 (produced by Plimsoll Productions for Roku) which tells the incredible stories of animal mothers in Zambia’s Kafue National Park, has sold to 23 territories including SVT in Sweden, RPT Portugal (Rádio e Televisão de Portugal), Discovery India, KBS Media in South Korea, TVNZ in New Zealand and Cineplex in Thailand.
Spin-off show of the record-breaking, award-winning hit dating format Love Island, Love Island Games has sold to Nine Network in Australia, Bell Media in Canada, Siminn in Iceland, TV2 in Norway, TV4 in Sweden, MTV3 in Finland, TVNZ in New Zealand, ITVX and ITVBe in the UK and VMI Ireland.
With jaw-dropping displays of luxury properties, Selling Super Houses (produced by South Shore for Channel 4), starring London-born real estate tycoon Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley and his reality superstar wife Dorit, has sold to Foxtel in Australia, Paramount+ in Canada, SIC in Portugal and TVNZ in New Zealand.
In a package deal, Bell Media in Canada has secured rights for diverse-dating show I Kissed A Boy and I Kissed A Girl (TwoFour for BBC Three), as well as TVNZ in New Zealand and TV2 Denmark.
Warner Bros. Discovery has picked up the first and upcoming seasons of the critically acclaimed dating reality show My Mum Your Dad UK (Lifted Entertainment for ITV) and two seasons of My Mum Your Dad Australia (ITV Studios Australia for Nine Network) for discovery+ and linear networks in the Nordics, Benelux, Italy, Turkey, and the Baltics.
Meanwhile, The Seven Network in Australia has snapped up rights to the chilling true crime series TikTok: Murders Gone Viral (produced by Nine Lives Media for ITV).
