Iconic quiz show Mastermind returns to BBC Two TODAY (Bank Holiday Monday)

Mastermind is back for another thrilling series, starting on Monday 28 August at 7.30pm on BBC Two.

Hosted by BBC presenter Clive Myrie, the show will see 96 contenders follow the tried and tested formula of answering their chosen Specialist Subject, followed by a round of tough general knowledge questions. Those that make it through the heats and then the semi-finals, will face each other in the Grand Final in a bid to win the coveted title of Mastermind Champion and the famous Mastermind Glass Bowl.

Some of the eclectic subjects the contenders will be tested on in this series range from Mary Queen of Scots, Otters and Harry Styles to René Magritte, Ted Lasso and The History of Cattle.

Clive Myrie says: “We’ve got another cracking series, full of thrills and heart racing moments, as our contenders do battle. The quality and range of quizzing is astonishing. ‘Quizzy Mondays’ will be unmissable.”
