‘GMA3’ Sees Week-to-Week Gains in All Key Target Demos and Draws Largest Overall Audience in 5 Weeks
Season to Date, ‘GMA3’ Ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers and Women 18-49

“GMA3: What You Need to Know” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.472 million), Women 25-54 (162,000) and Women 18-49 (108,000) for the 8th straight week during the week of Aug. 28, 2023, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA3” beat “NBC News Daily” and CBS’ “The Talk” in Total Viewers for the 16th week in a row.
“GMA3” posted week-to-week gains in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+4% – 1.472 million vs. 1.409 million), Women 25-54 (+2% – 162,000 vs. 159,000) and Women 18-49 (+4% – 108,000 vs. 104,000). In fact, “GMA” drew its largest overall audience in 5 weeks ― since the week of 7/24/23.
“GMA3” improved year-to-year in Total Viewers (+10% – 1.472 million vs. 1.337 million).
Season to date, “GMA3” ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers and Women 18-49 versus CBS’ “The Talk” and NBC’s “NBC News Daily.”
NOTE: On Wednesday (8/30/23) and Friday (9/1/23), “GMA3” was retitled “GMA3-ABC” due to live coverage of President Biden’s remarks on Hurricane Idalia and the Labor Day weekend, respectively. The retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. ABC’s weekly averages are based on three days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday).
