July 5, 2024 – BBC Sport NI will have live coverage of this weekend’s GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Finals on BBC iPlayer, BBC Two Northern Ireland, streamed live on the BBC Sport NI website and on the BBC Sport App. The games will be available to audiences to watch live across the UK with a place in the showpiece final up for grabs on Sunday 21 July.
On Saturday (6 July), Kilkenny renew their rivalry against Clare in the first semi-final at Croke Park – the third time the pair have met at this stage in as many years with Clare yet to claim a win against the ‘Cats’.
Mark Sidebottom presents the action on The Championship from 2.30pm for the 3pm throw-in and will be joined by Ulster hurling great Neil McManus, former Kilkenny corner back Paul Murphy and Waterford’s Austin Gleeson. Sarah Mulkerrins will have updates from pitch-side and is joined by double All-Star and five-time All-Ireland winner, Cork Camogie star, Ashling Thompson, while two-time All-Ireland winner, Jamesie O’Connor, will be with Thomas Niblock in the commentary box.
On Sunday (7 July), Limerick, aiming to win five consecutive All-Ireland titles, will first have to overcome a Cork team that served up their first Championship defeat in over a year. Sarah Mulkerrins presents The Championship from 3.30pm for the 4pm throw-in. Neil McManus, Paul Murphy and Austin Gleeson are with Sarah in studio. Mark Sidebottom is pitch-side and will be joined by Tipperary legend, Eoin Kelly and comedian Dara Ó Briain. Thomas Niblock is back in the commentary box alongside Clare hurling legend Jamesie O’Connor.
