Mid Island Initiative invites you to celebrate “The Music of RANDY EDELMAN: Waltzing On A High Wire” LIVE @ Carnegie Hall (57th Street & 7th Avenue in NYC) on December 8, 2024 @ 7:00 PM. Randy will be sharing the soundscape of his illustrious career journey through his music, song and story.
For the past 4 years the multi-award winning pianist and composer has been performing live for sold out audiences throughout New York, London and most recently to a congregation of 4300 at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, where the crowd honored him with 2 standing ovations. Join Randy in a more intimate setting as he performs his hits covered by some of the most world renowned artists including Barry Manilow (A Weekend in New England), The Carpenters (You), Patti LaBelle and Hip Hop star Nelly (Isn’t it A Shame, My Place ), Dionne Warwick, Blood Sweat & Tears, Willie Nelson, Kool & the Gang, Olivia Newton-John, and a montage of others.
Randy is one of the most well respected and sought out Hollywood soundtrack architects credited for scoring over 100 motion pictures and television themes. He will perform a collection of his music from “My Cousin Vinny”, “Gettysburg”, “The Bruce Lee Story”, “The Mask”, “Ghostbusters ll”, “While You Were Sleeping”, “Kindergarten Cop”, “Twins”, “Billy Madison”, “Last of the Mohicans” (which earned him a Golden Globe nomination), the theme from the hit television series MacGyver and more.
Randy is an emotional, sensitive and compassionate song writer as evidenced from his most recent album release “Waltzing On A High Wire” (via Tribeca Records). The double collectors vinyl edition of the album and the soundtrack to his new thriller The Beast Inside out December 3rd will be available to purchase in limited quantities after the performance on December 8.
