Chase & Status, Jamie Jones, Katy B, MK and more have joined the already stellar line-up for Radio 1’s Dance Weekend Ibiza 2023 taking place on Friday 28 July.

Continuing their legacy on the island, Radio 1 will be treating listeners and fans on the ground to a night of performances from some of the biggest names in Dance, hosted by the Radio 1 Dance family.

Acts announced today include:
Camden Cox
Chase & Status
HoneyLuv
Jamie Jones
Katy B
MK
Sonny Fodera

They will be joining incredible acts: Becky Hill, Eats Everything, FISHER, Hannah Wants, Jax Jones, LP Giobbi, Patrick Topping, Sam Divine and The Martinez Brothers who were announced earlier this year.

The massive event will take place at Ibiza’s new venue 528 Ibiza with three stages – Radio 1 Dance, Radio 1 Dance Anthems and for the first time, BBC Introducing.

Chase & Status say: “Ibiza has become like a second home to us, so we can’t wait to be back in July and check out the new venue at 528 Ibiza. We will have lots of new music to play and are looking forward to closing the night off with some DnB. Big up the Radio 1 family.”

Katy B says: “Over the moon to be back in Ibiza with Radio 1! The first time I ever came to the island was with Radio 1 so it feels like a full circle moment, so excited to be performing alongside these absolute Dance heavyweights.”

As part of this epic night, Radio 1 Dance have teamed up with BBC Introducing in a nationwide DJ talent search for the UK’s very best and undiscovered DJs who produce their own music, giving two winners a once in a lifetime opportunity to play on the iconic island by opening Radio 1 Dance Weekend in Ibiza.

Applications open at 12am on Thursday 1 June 2023, with new DJs producers who have dreamed of performing in Ibiza invited to upload a 15-20 minute mix to the Introducing Uploader. Applications will close at 11.59pm on Friday 16 June 2023, after which local BBC Music Introducing shows will forward one entry to the final shortlist and a panel of Radio 1 DJs and producers will select the two winners.

Aled Haydn Jones, Head of Radio 1, says: “This is such an exciting opportunity for two of the UK’s best undiscovered DJs to play their first-ever gig on one of Dance music’s biggest stages – the island of Ibiza. I can’t wait to see who the winners are and hope it will be the start of a hugely successful and long career for them both.”
