Published: São Paulo, October 29, 2024 — “Even before I got into a car, I already knew I was born to race” says Ayrton Senna, played by Gabriel Leone in Senna. The main trailer released today reveals snippets of historic, thrilling moments in the life of the racing legend. Never-before-seen images have also been released from Netflix’s much-awaited production from Brazil, premiering November 29th.
Over six episodes, the miniseries dramatizes for the first time Ayrton Senna’s journey through triumphs, disappointments, joys, and sorrows, revealing his personality and personal relationships. The story starts at the beginning of the three-time Formula 1 champion’s motor racing career, following him from his karting days, through his move to England to compete in Formula Ford, and continues up to the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix.
In addition to Leone, the cast features Brazilian actors such as Alice Wegmann (Lilian, Ayrton’s first wife), Camila Márdila (Vivianne Senna, his sister), Christian Malheiros (Maurinho, his friend), Gabriel Louchard (Galvão Bueno), Hugo Bonemer (Nelson Piquet), Julia Foti (Adriane Galisteu), Marco Ricca (Miltão, Ayrton’s father), Nicolas Cruz (brother), Pâmela Tomé (Xuxa), Rodrigo Veloso (Flávio Lalli, brother-in-law) and Susana Ribeiro (Zaza, his mother).
