Reflecting on the inspiration behind “Caravan,” Marie-Claire shares, “Night and stars that shine above so bright… Night isn’t really dark in the Sahara. The sky is indigo blue illuminated by stars whose iridescence dances and bounces against the shimmering sands of the desert. In the distance, you see a caravan approaching, and my soft operatic vocals dip and fall like the wind, accompanied by the Ude, African drums, trumpet, drums, and upright bass.”

In addition to releasing “Caravan,” Marie-Claire is launching a crowdfunding campaign with Plaid Dog Recordings to record her new studio EP. This EP will further showcase her talent and creativity, continuing to blend her operatic training with her passion for jazz and musical theater.

The pandemic provided Marie-Claire the luxury of time to reflect and overcome obstacles blocking her creative path. With her creativity freed, she wrote her first musical and discovered her true voice as a soprano. Marie-Claire has many exciting projects in the works, including screenplays, novels, additional EPs, musicals, and more.

Marie-Claire Giraud invites fans and supporters to join her on this exciting journey by supporting her crowdfunding campaign and experiencing the magic of “Caravan.”
