FOX News Channel (FNC) has renewed a multi-year agreement with Cablevision Systems Corp, announced Tim Carry, senior vice president of affiliate relations for FNC. The new deal, part of the broader programming agreement reached by Cablevision and News Corp. last October, will secure the network’s distribution across Cablevision’s subscriber footprint throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
In making the announcement, Carry said, “We are pleased to have worked with Cablevision to reach a fair agreement that allows us to continue our partnership providing FOX News Channel programming to Cablevision customers.”
The renewal will solidify FNC’s reach in more than three million homes through the cable provider’s Optimum-branded communications system. The service extends to the surrounding New York City metropolitan area including Long Island, Westchester, Fairfield and Bergen counties.
FOX News Channel (FNC) is a 24-hour general news service covering breaking news as well as political, business and entertainment news. For more than 100 consecutive months, FNC has been the most-watched cable news channel in the country. Owned by News Corp., FNC is available in more than 90 million homes.
