MTV and TelevisaUnivision together announce a first-of-its-kind partnership for a LIVE, hosted simulcast of the 2023 “VMAs” on Tuesday, September 12th at 8PM ET/PT on UniMás, with an encore on Univision at 11:30PM ET/PT, making it available to the most global audience in “VMAs” history.
As part of the live simulcast, UniMás will bring its viewers exclusive show access with original live, in-show commentary from Univision’s fan-favorite Alejandra Espinoza throughout the three-hour broadcast.

Returning LIVE from New Jersey’s Prudential Center, the 2023 “VMAs” will feature epic, show-stopping performances from music’s biggest names, including Latin powerhouses Anitta, Karol G, Peso Pluma, The Warning and Video Vanguard Award honoree Shakira, international sensations Måneskin, Stay Kids, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, plus superstars Cardi B feat. Megan Thee Stallion, Demi Lovato, Doja Cat, Kelsea Ballerini, Lil Wayne, emcee Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo and Sean “Diddy” Combs who will be honored as this year’s Global Icon Award, with more to be announced.
In addition to UniMás and Univision, the 2023 “VMAs” will simulcast on MTV sister brands BET, BET Her, CMT, CC, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land and VH1.
