Zurich, Switzerland: Emerging artist Anna Smith is gearing up to introduce her latest release “Invisible.” The upbeat pop post-breakup anthem is the 2nd single of her upcoming EP. With its light-hearted yet confident narrative, the song invites the listener to dance and sing along.
“Have you ever been “ghosted” by an almost lover? Well, guess what? They’re staging a comeback, though it’s a shame they’re almost “invisible” to you now.” With a blend of humor, catchy hooks, and an infectious beat, the track promises to resonate with audiences looking for a fresh take on the post-relationship experience. “Invisible” is set to be released this Friday, September 1st.
This release marks a new chapter for Anna Smith, as it’s one of the first songs she co-wrote during a songwriting camp that brought together six creative minds, including three writers and three producers (Robin Tadic aka. Typewriter, Said Boulahcen, Tobias Jundt, Sina Steiner, Kenny Niggli, and Anna Smith), which lead to the song being built up with many diversified parts.
Anna Smith, a multifaceted artist and female producer hailing from Binntal, VS, and Zurich, is no stranger to the spotlight. Her modern, vibrant pop music, while her signature vocals—catchy, rhythmic, and imbued with attitude—have even earned her comparisons to “Die Schweizer Mariah Carey aus dem Wallis” (The Swiss Mariah Carey from Valais) by radio outlets such as Radio Zürisee, Zürioberland24, Radio Rottu Oberwallis and Canal 9 due to her ability to effortlessly sing whistle notes in the highest octaves of her vocal range.
She considers herself a professional dream chaser and gives her fans an intimate insight into her life as a full-time musician through daily posts on her social media @annasmith_official. From songwriting, studio sessions to dance rehearsals, designing stage outfits and stage elements, the audience has a lot of insight into the process. Most things are created as “Do It Yourself” projects, and Smith tries to show that with a little creativity and glitter, you won’t need a big production company yet to get pretty far. This approach has earned her recognition, including the Swiss Influencer Award 2019 in the category Talent.
Having graced the stage of Zurich’s Hallenstadion with pyrotechnics and dancers, Anna Smith’s performances thrive on an interdisciplinary blend of dance, video, lighting, and music—a testament to her international inspirations.
Currently, Anna is pursuing her studies in Pop Singing at the University of the Arts Zurich, further honing her musical prowess.
